Pearls and Swine

A professor addressing a class of students: 'This is the worst class I have ever had.
I am tired of casting my pearls before swine.'
One of the students stood up and said, 'If I may say so, sir, imitation pearls.'
'Maybe,' said the lecturer, 'but real swine.'
